For those in L.A. looking for something new to do on a weekend -

MOCA is currently running their Night Vision event every Saturday night for the summer. It’s free with $8 admission to the museum, and they have music, screenings, a bar, and cool art workshops like making a button pin with your own design from cut-up paper currency. Fake, of course!

I really enjoyed their current exhibition, Poetics of the Handmade. The individually carved lipsticks – all 2,200 of them – by Chilean artist Livia Marin are truly a must-see in person:

Fictions of a use, by Livia Marin
