I recognized the dress that Kristen Stewart wore to the Teen Choice Awards a couple of months ago in the Rock & Republic ads, but what really caught my eye was the stunner with the impossibly long legs modeling it. The beauty is half Indonesian and half English Charlotte Carey from Los Angeles – you can watch her model and make us green with envy in the behind the scenes video. I get a lot of hits for Filipina model Charo Ronquillo, so visitors might appreciate lookalike Charlotte too.

As a designer, I feel more inspired when I see the behind the scenes process of an idea coming to fruition. Temperley’s newly launched website, displays mood boards that provided the inspiration for her current Cruise Collection.

I don’t quite know what to call these particular colors, but Chloe Fall 2009 is so on the money with what I’m picturing for fall. Every shade is so fresh on the eyes and altogether the effect is nothing short of amazing. And what’s also amazing are those green ruffly OTK boots.

“She looks just like a ‘Lola’”, I remarked a couple of weekends ago as we drove by the billboard for Marc Jacobs‘ newest fragrance, Lola, just across the way from his Melrose location. Then I found that face again in the pages of Elle’s September 2009 issue – still can’t believe Karlie Kloss, handpicked by Marc himself to be the Lola muse, is an American model!
I found the Daisy fragrance much too sweet – even for me – but Lola is described to be warm and seductive with notes of pink peppercorn and ruby red grapefruit. Definitely something I’ll be looking into.

Awww, cute. Kate Spade’s use of polka dots, prints, and candy colors in the most ladylike pieces make me happy. And isn’t this so Zooey Deschanel?

Always a fan of By Malene Birger’s statement-making accessories – here some ribboned and ruffled pieces for Fall 2009. Love that you can view them large and in charge on her website too!

Alexander Wang bags, coming in a blush shade for Fall 2009.

*sigh*…. Topshop, you’re killing me here – creamy and rosy nude shades toughened up with stud and chain details. And I am so glad you are sold out of the Tutu Stud Dress in my size.

I’ve definitely got fall looks on the brain, but I recently fell in love with Jeffrey Monteiro’s Voile Drawstring Dress in rose from his Spring 2009 collection after spotting it at the Barneys Warehouse Sale here in L.A. And at almost 80% off on the last day of the sale, I just wish they had it in my size!
Nonetheless, I am really loving Jeffrey Monteiro’s aesthetic. His looks reflect his time at the gone-but-not-forgotten Mayle, but with a more pared down and easy feel.

The rocker/ballerina look is quickly becoming my favorite for fall, and Free People captures this well in their August 2009 catalog. The furry-faced models (modeling alongside lovely ladies like Noot Seear who will be appearing in “New Moon”, yay!) are from the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society to help raise awareness about adopting – definitely something I am an advocate for!
