Color and contrast amplified backstage at Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2009. I swear these models are more gorgeous up close. (Bitches!)

I don’t quite know what to call these particular colors, but Chloe Fall 2009 is so on the money with what I’m picturing for fall. Every shade is so fresh on the eyes and altogether the effect is nothing short of amazing. And what’s also amazing are those green ruffly OTK boots.

This lovely pair of dresses feeds all of my current spring cravings – sporty stripes, anything blue, and the whole nautical theme that the navy color reminds me of. Kayla Frock and Dahlia Frock, both by Australian brother-and-sister design team Camilla & Marc.

This is so yummy. Sherbet hues from Miu Miu Fall 2007, muted down and warmed up to the perfect autumn palette.

My favorite color combination from Martha Stewart Weddings is hands down her exquisite vintage pink and gold pairing. It is gorgeous!
The palette, which suggested both the romance and glamour of Hollywood, hinted at a playful femininity and came to represent fine couture, days at the beach and on boardwalks, and lighthearted sophistication.
I love how even though these colors were sampled from past inspirations (like colors you’d see in old found photographs with lots of light leaks), it still feels so fresh and modern.

Pink is going nowhere this fall as long as designers like Milly keep producing gorgeous dresses like these. I just love the kaleidoscope and pinwheel patterns on a simple silhouette – it’s all so bohemian meets mod. I am leaning towards more minimalist looks this fall, who can resist a well-made pattern?

Back from vacation, only to be so busy! I am still dreaming of being in Hawaii (especially when I get 3 new projects in one week), and found this particular pink and beige-bronze color combination from Versace’s 2008 Resort Collection so arresting. And the flowery, flowing images – they remind me of colored ink dropping into water. What a sophisticated and sleek way of dressing for summer, no?
I realize the touristy cheesiness of wearing anything remotely island-inspired in Hawaii, but who can help it when dresses look this cute!

Proenza Schouler Palm Print Gauze Dress; Ginger & Smart St. Bart’s Dress; Elissa Coleman Exclusive Ace Palm Dress
I bought the one from Proenza Schouler when it was still in Target stores. It’s ready to go!
Terramia is doing my homework for me! Check out one of her latest posts, The Very Pink of Perfection, full of major interior design eye candy. Pink in living spaces is usually a bit much (even for me), but these are all sorts of lovely.
I’ve always loved this couch from Ruthie Sommer’s home, ever since it appeared on the cover of one of Domino’s first issues:

For good measure, I’ll throw in images from one of my favorite interior design inspirations, Designer’s Guild, in a showstopping hot pink & chartreuse palette:

The Office season finale is tonight! I’m excited, although I don’t know what I’ll do with a whole summer sans the Office. But look how cute John Kransinski and Jenna Fischer look in their midnight blue and magenta ensemble. I love this pairing. Both the color scheme and them. Such a beautiful couple.
