I remember attending an exhibition of fellow animal lover Catherine Ledner’s work exactly a year ago at a DailyCandy event in Hollywood, but forgot to note her name for future reference. I’m glad I somehow stumbled upon her work again.

The rocker/ballerina look is quickly becoming my favorite for fall, and Free People captures this well in their August 2009 catalog. The furry-faced models (modeling alongside lovely ladies like Noot Seear who will be appearing in “New Moon”, yay!) are from the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society to help raise awareness about adopting – definitely something I am an advocate for!

It’s been awhile since I posted any pup products isn’t it? To be honest, as much as I like pink, I don’t particularly favor the color for dogs, because most of the stuff out there looks really tacky. Which is why I was so happy to rediscover United Pets. When I moved into my first apartment, I couldn’t take my dog with me and bought the cutest fishbowl for it hoping that I could keep a fish in there or something. They’ve since expanded their line to include so many more cute yet well-designed pet accessories.
The best product I’ve bought for my dog so far is hands down the Bamboo Quick Control Leash with the seat belt latch. How insanely genius is that? Especially here in L.A., where we practically live on the freeways. (My dog included.) I also love the reflective strip down the sides of the leash – perfect when you run at night, like we do – and the adjustable length.
Bamboo also makes well-designed dog bowls and grooming tools, and cutesier items like teething blankies and sleeping bags. Love it all!!

Found this store Chrome Bones at the Beverly Center the other day. They make the most stylish dog collars and leashes. I especially love the Grommet series. I love hardware and metal details, and the grommet eyelets and faux snakeskin toughen up the pastel colors and make it so much more interesting. We bought the bowl, but in green, for our big guy. It’s quite heavy, which is good, since he likes to tip over his food bowl if he’s not ready to eat. The green also matches perfectly with the rest of our office.
I’ve seen their Ostrich Hearts collars in a few stores before, and I think this will be the first one I’ll buy for the new puppy. I’m really fancying the light blue one with pink hearts. The plaid one is also cute.

My next dog is going to be a little black poodle-terrier mix. I’m getting a puppy from my cousin’s dog, who is pregnant and probably won’t be due until next month. I can’t wait. And of course I’ve already started looking for cute and girly things for the new baby.

Then I found this ultra-cute Hello Kitty Princess dress on the left. It is absolutely adorable. It has little pink flowers on the skirt! Someone had me specifically in mind when they combined Hello Kitty, dogs, dresses, and the color pink. Will I buy it? Probably not, not for $72. I barely spend $72 on my own clothes.
The Hello Kitty collection by Little Lily also features beds, sweaters, toys, and even boots for your little princess or prince. I’m dying right now.
