Deanne Cheuk has a plethora of amazing and intricately detailed illustrations and type work (not surprising that she was already an art director at 19!), but I am drawn to this pattern in particular, which was used in Sue Stemp’s Spring 2007 collection.

In a world full of Mileys, there still is hope for the youth of today as long as Emma Watson is around. She shows the rest of her peers how to grow into a charming and stylish young lady in June’s Teen Vogue issue.

Color and contrast amplified backstage at Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2009. I swear these models are more gorgeous up close. (Bitches!)

The Lake & Stars, still bringing it in 2009 – always a fan of the layered yet diaphanous quality of their pieces.

House Industries, one of my favorite type foundries, is always producing unique products and typefaces. This time they have released a line in honor Alexander Girard, a textile designer in the 50s and 60s who was known for his folk art collection. The products range from nativity sets, which he collected, to font sets containing both whimsical curlicued letters and strong slab uppercases.

Saw these clothes on Gilt Groupe the other day – Phillip Lim has the most adorable offerings for children that I’ve ever seen.

Lula just put up a new website with short films like this one called Spell. Their Scrapbook section contains more pretty photos and interviews. Can’t wait for Issue 9!

OK, seriously – where have these dresses from Calypso been all summer? Most, if not all, of these are on sale too…

I recognized the dress that Kristen Stewart wore to the Teen Choice Awards a couple of months ago in the Rock & Republic ads, but what really caught my eye was the stunner with the impossibly long legs modeling it. The beauty is half Indonesian and half English Charlotte Carey from Los Angeles – you can watch her model and make us green with envy in the behind the scenes video. I get a lot of hits for Filipina model Charo Ronquillo, so visitors might appreciate lookalike Charlotte too.

As a designer, I feel more inspired when I see the behind the scenes process of an idea coming to fruition. Temperley’s newly launched website, displays mood boards that provided the inspiration for her current Cruise Collection.
